Before You Start

This guide documents the installation route used for the Roadnavier DENZA B8 passenger-screen system. Vehicle configuration and production version should be confirmed before installation, especially for right-hand-drive vehicles.

RHD owners: The Australian right-hand-drive version is currently subject to production confirmation. Do not assume that every bracket, harness or mounting detail shown in development material is identical to the final RHD production unit.
Recommended: Switch the vehicle off before disconnecting dashboard connectors. Keep the original trim panel, screws and factory components in a safe place so the vehicle can be returned to its original configuration if required.

What the Factory Dashboard Looks Like

The passenger display replaces the relevant passenger-side dashboard trim area while the original DENZA center infotainment display remains in the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

Step-by-Step Installation

1

Remove the Factory Center Display

Use a plastic trim-removal tool to carefully release the trim surrounding the original center display. Remove the relevant fixing bolts, then carefully pull the factory display forward.

  • Disconnect the required factory harness connectors.
  • Disconnect the LVDS connection carefully.
  • Place the original display somewhere protected.
2

Remove the Passenger-Side Trim

Starting from an accessible edge, use the plastic trim tool to release the passenger-side decorative panel. Work gradually around the panel rather than pulling from one point.

Avoid using metal tools directly against visible dashboard surfaces, as they can damage the trim.

3

Remove the Mounting Screws

With the decorative panel removed, locate the four mounting screws in the passenger-side mounting area. Remove the screws and retain them for installation of the replacement assembly.

4

Connect the Passenger-Screen Harness

Connect the Roadnavier passenger-screen harness to the matching vehicle connectors according to the supplied harness configuration. Do not force a connector if its shape or locking position does not match.

Route the passenger-screen power connection toward the specified fuse-box area according to the supplied installation configuration.

5

Mount the New Passenger Display

Arrange the harness so that no cable is pinched behind the screen. Align the passenger-display assembly with the dashboard mounting points and secure it using the required mounting screws.

  • Check that the housing sits evenly against the dashboard.
  • Confirm cables are not trapped behind mounting points.
  • Do not fully close all trim until the system has been tested.
6

Reconnect the Factory Center Display

Reconnect the factory center-screen harnesses and LVDS connection. Reinstall the original center display and its mounting hardware.

7

Common Installation Questions

Does the original DENZA center screen get replaced?

No. The passenger display is an additional screen. The original center infotainment display is removed temporarily during installation where required and then reinstalled.

Do I need to cut the vehicle wiring?

The Roadnavier system uses a vehicle-specific harness. Follow the connector and power-routing instructions supplied with the production unit. Do not cut factory wiring unless specifically instructed for your confirmed configuration.

Can I return the dashboard to its original configuration?

The installation is designed around replaceable trim and vehicle-specific mounting components. Keep all original parts and screws if you may want to restore the original dashboard later.

Does this guide apply to Australian RHD DENZA B8 vehicles?

The RHD version is currently subject to production confirmation. Roadnavier has participated in collecting vehicle and mould data for the RHD development, but final production fitment should be confirmed before ordering or installation.

What should I do if a connector does not match?

Stop installation and do not force the connector. Take clear photos of the vehicle connector, supplied harness and dashboard configuration and contact Roadnavier for compatibility verification.

What if the passenger screen does not power on?

Before removing the unit, check the passenger-screen harness, power connection and connector locking positions. If the issue remains, send Roadnavier photos or a short video showing the connections and power-on behaviour.
