A practical guide to dashboard removal, harness selection, OEM amplifier and reverse-camera retention, pre-start checks and final testing.
System at a glance
Designed for selected Infiniti G25, G35 and G37 configurations from approximately 2004–2013. Model year, market and dashboard configuration can vary, so fitment must be confirmed before ordering.
How the system integrates with the vehicle
The factory display and CD head unit are removed. The new screen and control unit connect through one of the three supplied vehicle-specific harness sets. The original amplifier, speakers, reverse camera and compatible steering-wheel controls remain in use.
No Bose / non-Bose selection is required. Original head-unit connectors cannot always be identified reliably from the dashboard alone, so three harness sets are included. The installer uses the harness that matches the vehicle connector.
Factory amplifier
Retained through the supplied vehicle-specific wiring. Sound continues through the original speakers.
Original reverse camera
Retained and displayed on the new screen when reverse gear is selected.
Steering controls
Compatible original steering-wheel buttons remain available through the vehicle interface.
Before you begin
Tools: plastic trim tool, Phillips screwdriver, protective tape and a soft dashboard cover.
- Park safely, switch off the ignition and protect the center console and trim.
- Take clear photos of every original connector before unplugging it.
- Keep removed screws grouped by panel.
- Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Dashboard removal
- Remove the shift knob. Press the gear-shift collar downward, remove the retaining clip and lift off the knob.
- Remove the gear-shift trim. Release the surrounding panel with a plastic trim tool.
- Release the climate-control panel. Remove its retaining screws and lift it carefully.
- Remove the center trim. Release the panel gradually; electrical connectors remain attached behind it.
- Disconnect the panel connectors. Photograph the connector positions first.
- Remove the CD head-unit screws. Keep the hardware organized.
- Remove the factory display and CD head unit. Disconnect their plugs carefully. Do not switch on the ignition yet.
Connect the new system
- Compare the original vehicle connector with the three supplied harnesses.
- Select the harness that matches naturally. Never force a connector.
- Connect the selected harness to the vehicle and Android control unit.
- Reconnect the factory climate-control module and airbag-warning-light connector.
- Connect the display, GPS antenna and supplied accessories.
- Install the left and right air-guide ducts and route cables without pinching them.
- Test every applicable function before reinstalling the trim.
Critical check before ignition
Reconnect these modules before switching on the vehicle
- Factory climate-control module
- Airbag-warning-light connector
Switching on the ignition while either is disconnected may cause a no-start condition or store fault codes.
Test before final reassembly
- System powers on normally
- Touchscreen responds correctly
- Wireless CarPlay connects
- Wireless Android Auto connects
- Audio plays through original speakers
- Left and right channels work
- Factory amplifier operates normally
- Steering-wheel buttons respond
- Original reverse camera appears in reverse
- Climate controls operate normally
- GPS receives a signal
- No cable is trapped behind the screen
After all checks pass, secure the unit, arrange the wiring, reinstall the center panels and shift trim, then perform one final screen, audio, climate-control and reverse-camera test.
