The Porsche Cayenne 958 was engineered for drivers who demand performance and refinement. But its factory PCM infotainment system — designed in the late 2000s — has aged poorly. Slow response, no wireless connectivity, no modern navigation. The hardware hasn't kept up with the driver.
The Roadnavier Android Horizontal Screen solves this without touching a single wire. Same footprint. Same mounting points. Full Android 13 underneath.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Gather Your Tools
Panel removal clips tool, Torx T20 screwdriver, precision tweezers, microfiber cloth. No drilling or cutting required.
Dashboard Disassembly — Remove the Air Vents
Using precision tweezers or a clip tool, locate the four internal anti-clips inside the factory air vents — two on top, two on bottom. Release all four simultaneously and pull the vent assembly forward. Set aside carefully on a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching the trim.
Remove the Factory PCM Unit
With the vents cleared, remove the Torx screws on both sides of the factory PCM. Slide the unit forward and disconnect all rear connectors — main harness, antenna plug, and fiber optic cable.
Wiring Integration & Fiber Optics
For models with premium sound (Bose/Burmester), the fiber optic decoder integration is the most critical step. The Roadnavier harness is fully compatible with all 2010–2017 Cayenne 8.4" PCM configurations.
| Component | Installation Detail |
|---|---|
| Fiber Optic Decoder | Transfer the original green/orange fiber optic cables from the factory PCM to the Roadnavier decoder box. This preserves zero-latency, high-fidelity audio through your Bose or Burmester amplifier. |
| Main Power Harness | 100% plug-and-play — connects directly to the vehicle's existing harness connector with no pin modifications. Verify the harness version matches your PCM configuration (3.0 / 3.1 / 4.0). |
| Antenna Adapter | Use the included adapter to retain FM/AM reception from the factory antenna. Slot into the antenna port on the rear of the Roadnavier unit. |
Connect the Main Harness
Connect the Roadnavier main harness to the vehicle's existing connector — direct plug-in, no modification needed. Connect the antenna adapter and tuck all cables neatly before pushing the unit into the bay.
System Calibration & Testing
Before reassembling, power on and verify all functions: screen boots correctly, steering wheel controls are mapped, reverse camera triggers on reverse, audio outputs through all speakers. Test wireless CarPlay with your phone.
Reassemble
Slide the unit into the DIN bay and secure with the Torx screws. Reinstall the air vent assembly — press firmly until all four clips click into place. Run a final test of all functions.
3 Common Mistakes to Avoid
Forcing the Vent Clips
The four clips must be released simultaneously — not one side at a time. Forcing one side while the other is still locked cracks the plastic vent housing. Use slim tweezers and work slowly.
Skipping the Fiber Optic Decoder
If your Cayenne has Bose, skipping the decoder step results in total audio loss or a constant buzzing. The decoder box is in the kit — do not leave it in the packaging.
Hot-Swapping Connectors
The Cayenne 958's CAN bus is active when the vehicle is unlocked. Plugging harnesses in with ignition on can trigger fault codes and damage the head unit's input circuitry. Always power off and wait 30 seconds first.
