Based on your description — no audio from the factory Bose system and no communication with the factory system — the first thing we need to confirm is whether the CANBUS communication is working correctly.
Please follow the steps below in order. It is important to confirm the CANBUS communication first before troubleshooting the Bose audio.
Step 1 — Check the Door Status
Open one of the car doors and check whether the Android screen displays the door-open information.
- If the door status is displayed: the CANBUS communication is most likely working. You can continue to Step 5 to check the Bose audio.
- If there is no door information: continue to Step 2.
Step 2 — Check the CANBUS Protocol Information
Go to System Information and check the CANBUS/protocol information.
If the CANBUS information shows “Unknown”, please check the CANBUS/protocol connector.
Make sure:
- The connector is plugged into the correct socket.
- The connector is inserted in the correct direction.
- The CANBUS box and its connectors are fully seated.
Step 3 — Set the Correct CANBUS Protocol
If the CANBUS box and connectors are installed correctly, follow the guide below to select the correct CANBUS protocol in the factory settings.
There are three protocol options that may work with this vehicle. Please test them one by one.
After selecting a protocol, restart the Android unit.
Then return to System Information and check the CANBUS information again.
If the protocol is communicating correctly, the system should display CANBUS protocol/version information instead of “Unknown.”
Step 4 — Confirm CANBUS Communication
After restarting the unit, open one of the car doors again.
If the Android screen now displays the door-open information, this confirms that the CANBUS communication is working correctly.
At this point, the factory communication issue is solved and we can move on to the Bose audio.
Step 5 — Check the Bose Audio Setting
Once CANBUS communication has been confirmed, test the audio again.
If there is still no sound from the factory Bose system, check the audio settings and select the correct factory/Bose amplifier audio setting according to the guide.
After changing the setting, test the audio again.
Step 6 — Power the Factory Amplifier Control Wire
If all of the following are confirmed:
- CANBUS communication is working;
- Door-open information is displayed correctly;
- The correct CANBUS protocol is shown in System Information;
- The Bose/factory amplifier audio setting is correct;
- But there is still no sound;
then please connect the amplifier control wire (AMP / AMP-CON) to ACC power.
This provides the turn-on signal needed to activate the factory Bose amplifier.
Important: Confirm CANBUS First
The troubleshooting order is important:
CANBUS communication → Door status → Protocol information → Bose audio setting → Amplifier power.
Please confirm the CANBUS communication first. Once the CANBUS is communicating correctly, we can troubleshoot the Bose audio separately if there is still no sound.
