Step-by-Step Wiring (Base Trim – Tesla Style)
📌 This guide focuses on wiring connections. The Tesla-Style screen requires one extra step: check the protocol wire connection to avoid “no CANBUS data” issues.
1. Connect the Main Power & Speaker Harness
-
Plug the OE power & speaker adaptor into the factory connector.
-
This provides both power and speaker signals.
2. Connect the CANBUS Plug
-
Insert the OE CAN adaptor into the factory socket.
-
This enables steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle system.
3. Connect the AC Panel Harness
-
Use the OE AC adaptor to connect the climate panel to the Android screen.
-
Make sure the white AC box is reinstalled after connection.
4. Connect the AUX Audio
-
For Base Trim, audio must go through the AUX port.
-
Plug the AUX output into the factory AUX jack.
-
⚠️ Important: Double-check audio output, otherwise there will be no sound.
5. Check the Protocol Wire (Extra Step for Tesla Screen)
-
Some users report “no protocol data” → usually caused by a loose or missing protocol wire.
-
Ensure the green CAN protocol wire is connected correctly to the decoder box.
-
Confirm the plug direction is correct (see photo).
✅ Wiring Complete
Once these five connections are made, power on the unit and test:
-
Climate control display
-
Steering wheel buttons
-
Audio through AUX
-
Protocol communication (no error messages)
