Can I Add an Amplifier or Subwoofer to My Volvo XC60 Android Head Unit?
If you are upgrading your Volvo XC60 with an Android screen and also plan to add an aftermarket amplifier or subwoofer, RCA audio output is an important detail to check before ordering.
The Roadnavier Volvo XC60 Android head unit supports left and right RCA audio output as well as a dedicated subwoofer output. If you need these outputs for your audio setup, they can be prepared before your unit ships.
1. Can I Add an Aftermarket Amplifier or Subwoofer?
Yes. If you plan to add a separate amplifier, powered subwoofer or another aftermarket audio component, the XC60 Android system can be prepared with the audio outputs you need.
2. What About the Factory Volvo Amplifier?
Adding RCA or subwoofer outputs does not mean you have to remove the original Volvo audio system.
The original Volvo head unit remains in the system, allowing the factory audio system and factory amplifier to continue operating with the Roadnavier screen upgrade.
In other words, retaining the factory amplifier and adding RCA outputs for an aftermarket amplifier or subwoofer are two separate things.
3. Do I Need to Request the RCA or Subwoofer Output?
Yes. If your installation requires RCA L/R audio output or a dedicated subwoofer output, let us know after you place your order so the required connections can be prepared before shipment.
