Upgrade the factory navigation screen in your Acura MDX with a modern 12.3-inch touchscreen, Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, GPS navigation and Android apps — while retaining the vehicle's original factory audio system.

Retains the Factory Audio System

Android, CarPlay and Android Auto audio are introduced through the vehicle's factory AUX input. The original Acura amplifier, speakers and factory audio system remain in use.

Vehicle-Specific Integration

Different wiring configurations are supplied for the 2007–2009 factory-navigation systems and the 2010–2013 HDD Navigation / Technology Package.

How the Factory Audio System Is Retained

This upgrade replaces the factory navigation display, but it does not replace the complete Acura audio system. The original factory audio system remains responsible for amplification and speaker output.

The AUX connection is normally routed to the vehicle's original AUX input in the center console / armrest area. Depending on the vehicle configuration and supplied harness, the connection may use a 3.5 mm AUX plug or left/right RCA connection.

Audio Quality Note: The original factory amplifier and speakers remain in use, but Android / CarPlay audio enters the system as an AUX source. We therefore do not claim that every Android or CarPlay source will sound identical to the original factory CD or HDD source.

IMPORTANT — FACTORY BACKUP CAMERA

Original Backup Camera Is Not Retained

The original Acura backup camera is not retained with this Android screen upgrade. A replacement backup camera is included with the system.

The replacement camera connects directly to the new Android system and provides the rear-view image when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

No. 2007–2013 Base / non-navigation models use a different upper-dashboard and mounting structure. This screen is only compatible with the supported factory-navigation configurations shown above.

Are both 2007–2009 factory-navigation configurations supported?

Yes. There are different factory-navigation configurations in the 2007–2009 MDX, including the version with the DVD navigation drive. Both supported dashboard types are shown in the fitment section above.

Does this fit a 2010–2013 MDX Technology Package with HDD Navigation?

Yes. 2010–2013 HDD Navigation / Technology Package vehicles are supported with the correct vehicle-specific wiring configuration.

Does the Android screen bypass the factory amplifier or ELS audio system?

No. Android and CarPlay audio are introduced through the factory AUX input. The original factory amplified audio system remains in use rather than being replaced by the Android screen.

Will CarPlay / Android audio sound exactly the same as the factory CD or HDD source?

The original factory amplifier and speakers remain in use. However, Android and CarPlay audio enter the factory system through AUX, so source quality and signal level can affect the final listening experience. We therefore do not claim factory-identical sound quality for every source.

Can I keep the original factory backup camera?

No. The original Acura backup camera is not retained with this upgrade. A replacement backup camera is included with the system.
