Installation Guide

Follow the steps below. If you prefer a visual walkthrough, the wiring diagrams are included further down.

01

Remove the Factory Head Unit

Use a trim removal tool to carefully pry off the centre console surround. Remove the factory screws securing the head unit and slide it out. Disconnect all factory connectors and set the original unit aside safely.

02

Connect the Wiring Harness

Connect the included wiring harness adapter to the vehicle's factory connector. Match colours carefully. Refer to the RCA layout diagram below for sub-woofer and amplifier connections if applicable to your trim.

03

Connect the Steering Wheel Control Adapter

This is a critical step — do not skip it. Securely plug in the steering wheel control adapter to retain full steering wheel button functionality. See the highlighted section below for the exact connector location.

04

Fit the New Unit and Test

Slide the Roadnavier unit into the dash cavity. Before securing, power on and test: screen display, steering wheel controls, reverse camera (if fitted), and audio output. Confirm everything works before bolting down.

05

Secure and Reassemble

Secure the unit with the included mounting screws. Press the facia trim back into position until all clips engage. Power cycle the vehicle and run a final check on all functions.

Critical: Steering Wheel Control Adapter
Ensure this adapter is securely connected before completing the install. Without it, all steering wheel controls will be non-functional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all wiring harnesses and adapters included?
Yes. Our kit is a complete package for a standard installation — no additional parts needed for most CU2 vehicles.
Does it support steering wheel controls?
Yes, 100% compatible via the included steering wheel control adapter. All factory buttons retain their original functions.
What is the factory settings code?
The factory setting access code is 8888
Will Wireless CarPlay work on my CU2?
Yes. The unit supports both Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto out of the box, with no additional dongles required.
Why doesn't the screen show climate control, A/C, or temperature?
This is expected behaviour. The Android screen does not display climate control, A/C, or temperature information — these functions remain on the factory HVAC panel below the head unit and are operated physically as normal. Your heating and cooling system is completely unaffected by the upgrade.
