  • [Red Pointer]: Secure the display screen onto the base bracket from the rear alignment holes.

Step 2: Remove the OEM Steering Column Cover

  • [Red Pointer]: Apply even pressure and pull upward firmly from this gap position.

Step 3: Detach the Factory Face Recognition Module

Use a non-marring plastic pry tool (trim removal tool) to gently unclip the factory face recognition module. Note: Always start prying from the bottom edge to avoid damaging the top dashboard leather wrap, as shown below:

  • [Red Pointer]: Insert the plastic pry tool at this specific lower position to release the clip.

Step 4: Disconnect the Face Recognition Module Harness

Gently take out the face recognition module panel. Push the white locking clip outward first, then press down on the inner tab to safely unplug the factory connector without straining the wires:

Step 5 (Part 2): Connect the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness & OBD Adapter

Remove the OEM lower dash decorative cover panel located directly above the accelerator/gas pedal (secured by 4 push clips). Unplug the factory OBD port, and connect it to the dedicated Roadnavier plug-and-play T-harness/OBD adapter as illustrated below:

CRITICAL WARNING: Route the display screen wiring harness safely up to the steering column/dashboard cavity. When connecting the final display screen plugs, pay strict attention to the male/female alignment pins. DO NOT plug them in backward, as reverse polarity will damage the LCD cluster circuitry!

  • [Image 2 Red Pointer]: Snap the dedicated matching display connectors together. Verify that the alignment ridge is perfectly matched.

Step 6: Final Assembly & Module Reinstallation

Carefully insert and clip the assembled Roadnavier LCD display screen base mount back into the steering column recess. Reconnect the factory face recognition module harness plug, snap the module cover back into its original position, and test the system by powering on the vehicle:
