How to Identify Your Nissan Maxima A35 Trim Level (2009–2014)

Before upgrading your Nissan Maxima A35 (2009–2014) with an Android head unit, it’s important to know which trim level you own. The Maxima A35 came in four main configurations:

  • Base / Low Trim – Original CD player is kept, audio is routed through AUX to the factory amplifier. Radio and CD remain functional, and the climate control will display on the new screen.

  • Mid / High / Top Trim (Bose system) – The original CD player will not be kept. The factory Bose amplifier remains, and radio works through the new Android screen. The CD function is disabled, but all climate controls are supported.

How to check your trim:
If your dashboard looks like the left picture, you have the Base / Low Trim.
If it looks like the right picture, you have the High Trim.

Knowing your trim level helps you choose the right wiring harness and CANBUS decoder, ensuring a smooth installation without losing key functions.
