This wiring guide is for Nissan Maxima A35 Base Trim vehicles using the Tesla-style vertical Android screen. In addition to the main harness, CANBUS, climate and AUX connections, this configuration requires an additional protocol-wire check.

Tesla-Style Installation Note: If the screen powers on but vehicle information or steering-wheel controls are missing, check the CAN protocol connection and the green protocol wire before changing software settings.

No sound after installation? Check the AUX connection first. A missing or incomplete AUX connection is one of the first items to verify on the Base Trim setup.
5

Check the Tesla-Style Protocol Wire

The Tesla-style configuration includes an additional CAN protocol connection that should be checked carefully during installation.

1. Locate the Wire

Locate the green CAN protocol wire in the Tesla-style harness.

2. Check the Decoder

Confirm the protocol wire is connected to the correct CANBUS decoder connection.

3. Check Orientation

Verify that the connector direction matches the installation reference and is fully seated.
