12.1" Tesla-Style Vertical Screen Upgrade
⚙️ Tools Needed
- Plastic trim removal tools
- Phillips screwdriver & 10mm socket
- Electrical tape & Zip ties
⚠️ Safety First
Turn off ignition. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent short circuits or SRS airbag errors.
📸 Visual Setup Guide
Step 1 — Choose Your Wire Harness
We include 2 sets of harnesses. Match the connector style to your OEM head unit before plugging in.
Step 2 — Removal of Factory Unit
Gently pry the trim and remove the four 10mm bolts. Pull the OEM radio out slowly to avoid snagging factory wires.
Step 3 — AC Box Retention
Transfer or keep the original AC box components behind the new screen as shown.
Step 4 — Standby Plugs
Some factory plugs may not be used. Tape them securely to prevent rattling.
🖥️ System & Protocol Setup
To enable Steering Wheel Controls and A/C Display, you must select the correct protocol:
Path: Factory Settings (8888) → Protocol → Select Nissan → Pathfinder
⚠️ Common Troubleshooting
🔇 No sound (BOSE System)?
Verify the "AMP-CON" wire is connected. Ensure the BOSE protocol is selected in factory settings.
🔄 Reverse camera image is inverted?
Go to Settings → Factory → Camera Type and toggle "Mirror Image" or "CVBS/AHD" mode.
❄️ A/C controls not showing?
Double check the CANBUS box connection and ensure you selected the correct Pathfinder R51 profile in the Protocol menu.
