A complete walkthrough for installing your Roadnavier Android head unit in the Acura TSX (2004–2008). Follow these steps carefully and you'll have a fully functional upgrade — wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, GPS, and all factory controls retained — in a single afternoon.
Step 1 — Installation Preparation
Before you begin, gather the following tools and equipment to protect your dashboard and keep the job clean.
What You'll Need
- Tools Flathead screwdrivers, plastic pry tools, and work gloves. Plastic pry tools are strongly recommended to avoid trim scratches.
- Audio removal set A car audio plastic removal tool kit — avoid metal tools around your dash panels.
- Power check Ensure your car battery is stable throughout the installation process.
- Hardware Your Roadnavier Android unit and the model-specific wiring harness included in the box.
Step 2 — How to Connect
Disassembly
Use plastic pry tools to gently remove the air vents and the centre console panel. Work slowly around the edges — all clips are friction-fit and will release without force. Unscrew and carefully pull out the original radio unit.
Plug-and-Play Wiring
Connect the included harness directly to your factory plugs. No wire cutting required. There are four harness connections to complete:
External Devices (Optional)
Connect any optional accessories before securing the unit:
- Reverse camera Connect via the RCA video wire — the screen switches automatically when reversing.
- USB extension Route into the glove box for convenient phone connectivity.
- GPS antenna Place near the windshield for optimal satellite signal.
Step 3 — System Setup & First Boot
First Boot
Start the car — the screen powers on automatically. The initial boot takes 30–60 seconds. This is normal; subsequent starts are faster once the system has initialised.
Basic Configuration
On first launch, sync Time/Date, set your Language preference, and connect to Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot. These settings take under two minutes to complete.
System Updates
Navigate to Settings → System Update and download the latest firmware. Keeping the firmware current ensures the best performance, compatibility, and feature access.
Rear Camera Connection Guide
Connect the reverse camera RCA cable to the dedicated input on the harness. Once connected, the display will automatically switch to the camera feed whenever the vehicle is placed in reverse.

Audio Troubleshooting — No Sound Fix
If you experience no audio output after installation, refer to the diagram below. The most common cause is an unseated harness connection or an incorrect amplifier bypass setting.
