Why are there unused FAKRA connectors (white, brown, black, blue) after installing the Android head unit?
Those color-coded FAKRA connectors on the original DENSO unit are specific to the factory display and multimedia master unit itself. When upgrading to the Android system, these ports naturally remain unused because the Android unit handles data streams through the main CAN-decoder harness. This is completely normal and does not affect normal operation.
Why does the instrument cluster show error codes (U0163, U0255, U1427) and warnings after installation?
The warning on your dashboard (such as speed limit warnings or traffic sign recognition dropouts) and communication error codes (U0163-87, U0255-87) are triggered because the vehicle's central gateway registered a temporary disconnection when the original head unit was unplugged. The wiring and CAN-bus protocol are correct; the system simply requires a history code reset.
How to clear dashboard warnings and restore instrument cluster communication?
To clear historical DTC logs and restore full integration:
- Connect an OBD2 diagnostic scanner to your vehicle's port.
- Scan and clear all stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- The instrument cluster will automatically re-handshake with the central network, and the warnings will disappear.

We reviewed this case. Your vehicle is a European-spec 2018 Infiniti QX30, and its CANBUS data has not been fully captured in the current decoder profile. As a result, the Android unit cannot correctly retain the instrument-cluster navigation, audio information and traffic-sign recognition functions.
This is a CANBUS compatibility issue, not simply a missing adapter for the four unused connectors. Please do not connect or modify those plugs by trial.
Because all functions return to normal when the original head unit is reinstalled, the factory modules themselves are working correctly. A proper solution will require the manufacturer to collect the CAN data from this European configuration and develop a compatible decoder profile or firmware update. At present, we do not have a verified plug-and-play solution for this specific version.

After installation:

With the Android kit, there are no matching connections for these four original connectors, so they remain disconnected.
I have noticed that some Q30/QX30 installation guides show vehicles with only two of these connectors, while my car has four. This makes me think that my QX30 may have a different factory configuration, possibly related to the front camera, navigation or other OEM functions.
When I reinstall the original factory head unit, the system works normally again and the communication errors disappear.
Is an additional adapter or special wiring harness required for these four original connectors? Could one of these connectors be responsible for the front camera and the missing communication with the navigation/front display modules?
Or is a different CANBUS configuration required for my specific QX30?
