2. What This Upgrade Actually Does
This upgrade replaces the original upper display area with a modern 12.3-inch widescreen Android system and integrates it into the QX60 / JX35 dashboard.
It is more than simply adding CarPlay. You gain a modern Android interface for navigation, music, apps and entertainment while keeping the vehicle's original controls and supported factory functions.

This system is designed to retain the important factory functions, including:

In addition to CarPlay and Android Auto, the screen runs Android 14, allowing you to use compatible Android apps directly on the head unit.
Common everyday uses include Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, YouTube and other compatible navigation, music and media apps.
5. Installation
Installation requires removal of the original dashboard components and factory head-unit/display components before connecting the new screen and vehicle-specific wiring.
The system is designed for the QX60 / JX35 platform, but because the factory infotainment system is integrated with multiple vehicle functions, we recommend installation by an experienced car-audio or automotive electronics installer.
After disconnecting the factory climate-control module, reconnect it before powering on or starting the vehicle. Test the screen and factory functions before fully reassembling the dashboard.
